The Eve of the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels
Solemn Profession of Sr. Patricia Michael Hauze

In the name of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sister Patricia Michael, was it only yesterday that you and I sat together upstairs in the Library and you told me you were afraid that God might be calling you to the monastic life? As I recall, the words “I am afraid” were an important part of your fearful declaration. And you have often been afraid, haven’t you? Afraid you were not educated enough. Sister Patricia-Michael Hauze will make solemn profession

[From Mother Laura Howell]

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

God willing, on the eve of the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels, Sr. Patricia-Michael Hauze will make her solemn profession as a solitary religious in the Diocese of Bethlehem.  Bishop Paul will receive her lifetime vows and will celebrate.  As a solitary, Sr. Patricia-Michael's community is the entire Diocese.  And part of her job in religion is to pray for us all.  We invite all the members of that community to come and support Sister as she takes this momentous step.  A monastic profession is rare these days, so we hope that you will be able to attend.

Sr. Patricia Michael resides in Easton, and is the administrator at Trinity Easton.

The service will be at Trinity Bethlehem, September 28, 7:00 p.m. A reception follows.  Please pray for Sr. Patricia-Michael as she
prepares.

Annual vows in Religious Life

Sister Patrica-Michael Hauze The Annual Vows in Religious Life of Sister Patricia-Michael Hauze, Solitary, administrator at Trinity Easton, spiritual director, and member of Trinity Bethlehem, were received by Bishop Paul Marshall, October 22, 2009, during Eucharist at Diocesan House, Bethlehem, witnessed by the Rev. Andrew Gerns and the Rev. Laura Thomas Howell, Obl.S.B. in the presence of Diocesan Staff:

"I, Patricia-Michael Hauze, for the glory of God, and intending to consecrate myself more closely to him and to follow Christ more generously all my life, with my brothers and sisters as witnesses, and in your presence, Bishop Paul, vow chastity, prayer, obedience and stability for one year, according o the Rule approved by Bishop Paul, my superior in religious life. With my whole heart I give myself to the Church and to the Diocese of Bethlehem, to seek perfect charity in the service of God and the Church, by the grace of the Holy Spirit and the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
