Grace Montessori School in downtown Allentown, a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, Allentown, is now accepting applications for fall enrollment. The school serves children ages 3 to 11 and is the only Episcopal, Montessori school in our Diocese and the only Montessori school that goes from the primary level through grade school in the Lehigh Valley.
The school offers weekly Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for primary students and Interfaith Chapel for elementary.
The school’s mission is to provide young children and their families, regardless of racial, cultural, religious, or socio-economic background, a high quality and affordable early childhood educational experience in a prepared Montessori and urban environment. In accordance with the original purpose for founding the school, done with the assistance of a generous grant for seed money from the Diocese, each year 30 percent of the children who attend the school receive financial assistance. Funds come from grant writing and fundraising. Over the last eight years, more than half a million dollars in scholarships have been awarded to families demonstrating financial need so that their children can benefit from the experience found at GMS.
The school also offers eight weeks of summer camp each year.
