In Scranton: Community dinner and alternative worship

Peacemeal will gather at St. Luke's in Scranton on Friday, April 7. A description of the evening appears at the Peacemeal blog. Everyone is invited to come for food, conversation and alternative worship … and contribute in some way. A free meal, 5:30 to 6:30, will be served to the community, specifically for the homeless of Scranton, with invitations going out at the local soup kitchen. Soup for up to 200 people from there as well as anyone else who wants to gather for fellowship and conversation before the service. Worship, 7:00 to 8:30. If you are willing to give some time to help prepare and serve the meal on Friday we would be grateful.  If you (or your community) are willing to give a financial donation to help cover the cost of the meal that would be welcome too. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the meal or the worship gathering, contact Scott Bader-Saye or Josh Frank.
