The Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley* has received the letter of determination from the I.R.S., stating that its application for 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt status has been approved. For the past five years, the food bank has operated as a non-profit mission of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Bethlehem, PA. (The food bank was founded by Vanessa Segaline, who was 14 years old at the time). Animal Food Bank Services will now register as a Charitable Organization with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mission statement: to assist the economically disadvantaged of the Lehigh Valley with the health and well-being of their companion animals. Assistance, education and prevention are the primary focuses of the organization, which has provided services to over 5,000 pets since its inception.

The Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley will be hosting a low-cost vaccination clinic with services provided by the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, on February 13th from 1 - 5 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church. The Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley will sponsor an EMERGENCY PET FOOD DISTRIBUTION to serve low-income families and their pets on February 6th, from 11 AM - 2 PM. Volunteers from Eastern Pennsylvania Animal Alliance will co-hosting the event while providing a vaccination clinic for pets. The clinic will provide services from 10 AM - 2 PM. The event will take place at Rt. 209 in Rainbow Plaza, lower level, rear. Broadheadsville, PA 18322. Dogs should be brought on leash and cats in carriers.
