DioBeth Youth Ministry Scholarship Fund

Hello Friends in the House of Bread,
I am writing to ask you to consider making a contribution to the DioBeth Youth Ministry Scholarship fund.
It is a joy to share the news that Diocesan youth ministry is thriving! Our events are regularly at capacity. Many more parishes are participating than a few years ago, including smaller parishes in rural areas. However, there has been an increase in the number of people seeking scholarship help and/or not participating in diocesan events because they cannot afford the registration fee. Though parishes often try to help, when there are multiple teens interested in attending, funds quickly run short. In many parishes where there are not active youth groups, diocesan youth events provide the only connection for teens to other Christian youth. However, even with substantial subsidy from the diocesan youth budget, the average high school teenager, participating in all offered events (Bishop's Day with Youth, Christophany, Province Spring Event, Mission Trip, Happening) would pay over $400 a year in registration fees. *EYE week (9-12 graders) - $600
Happening weekend (9-12 graders) - $105
Christophany weekend (6-12 graders) - $105
Sr. High Mission Trip week (9-12 graders) - $600
Jr. High Mission Trip (6-8 graders) - $110
General donations that may be used when needed are very welcome.
*This July, the Diocese of Bethlehem is sending a full contingency of youth and adults (12 youth, 3 adults) to EYE, the National Episcopal Youth Event in San Antonio, Texas. The cost for the trip (includes, travel, event, room/board) is $900. The Diocesan Youth Budget is covering a third of the cost, and many parishes are assisting with the cost as well. But there are a few folks on the team who are still short of funding (either because their parishes cannot be of support or because family finances are tight).
For those unable to support financially, we ask your prayers for the youth of our diocese, that they may continue to grow in the love and faith of Jesus.
